Q: What kind of board should I buy?
A: It's not easy with all the options these days... but some of the wakeboard companies have made it a lot easier. Many pre-outfitted packages are available, and they're priced to fit every budget.
Ferraro's "State" Board by Hyperlite
There are so many good boards for every rider. One recommendation the Waketrix team can always make is the State board from Hyperlite. It's designed by the "go-to" coach Mike Ferraro and 23 riders of different styles and abilities . After many years of coaching waterskiers and then bringing his incredible talent to wakeboarding, Mike has earned the title as the world's top wakeboarding coach. He has worked closely with world champions such as Dallas Friday, Danny Harf, Darin Shapiro, and Philip Soven. You can pick up on Mike's techniques from his coaching tips on the Waketrix DVD.

The State is one of the best selling boards of all time, every season, and you'll see why. What Mike has done is applied his expert technical knowledge and a wide range of rider preferences toward developing the State board's unique shape--a design that helps the rider choose his/her own style. The State wakeboard binding is a more adjustable, slightly less supportive version of the Hyprelite Drive wakeboard boot with a split toe allowing more riders to share their setup with varying foot sizes. The State wakeboard boot is the crossing point between pro model reinforcement and recreational versatility. The standard choice for spanning across a range of sizes and skill levels.
The State wakeboard allows a rider to stand higher up the wake on their toeside edge with increased leverage on the heelside rail. Varying depths of molded-in fins; deeper toeside fins set a harder turn, shallower heel side fins create a quicker release. Outer stabilizers create a more stable ride and helps a rider recover from unstable landings. Because of the State wakeboard shape, it lets riders determine their own style and is known as the most user-friendly, confidence inspiring board on the market.
Hyperlite has also added the Drive series to their solid package lineup. The most popular Motive is still a great choice by many.

LF has some great packages this season. They now have a new Substance package that saves you HUGE. This package was Watson's Pro ride last season. Q: What's the best pro series gear?
A: Just about all the manufacturers have special editions designed for or by their team riders. Here are a couple of the latest that you should know about:
Watson and Shane Limited Bindings
There are some new Limited Edition Watson and Shane Bindings on the market, but they won't last long! There's only a limited supply. BoardStop has a limited amount and have not received all the sizes. Get 'em while you can because once they are gone, they're gone, they can't get more of them.
